Fall 2025-Present

My Story

Growing up I was surrounded by family in the trades. My father, a general contractor; always brought me along with him on the weekends to the job sites. For me it was a new environment filled with discovery and learning. Watching my father’s work sparked my interest in construction and into my advocacy work.

As I continue my education, I plan to use my interest in construction and advocacy work by expanding Bridge to Opportunity.

Nonetheless, construction has opened up so many opportunities for me, and I strive to make sure everyone can pursue their passion in a safe environment.

  • Skills USA President(25-26)

    Construction academy

    Served as the Skills USA president for Freedom High school.

    • Coordinated events

    • Represented academy at competitions and meetings

    • Advertised academy to over 600 students

    • Advocacy work

    • Recognition from school and community members

  • Construction Worker's Rights Advocacy in HS

    Advocate

    Advocated for construction worker’s rights by bring resources and awareness to those unaware of their full rights. Some resources included fliers in English and Spanish, presentations to classes, trade night distribution, and a website.

  • Skills USA-Regional Contest (Jan 2026)

    Foreman-Teamworks

    Competed in a team-based competition to build a model while maintaining all aspects of a professional construction site, including cleanliness, safety, professionalism, and the quality of the final product.

  • Bio EHCS at UC Berkeley (April 2026)

    Group Competition

    Competed in Berkeley BioEngineering Honor Society Competition.

    Relation-Spinal Cord injuries are a risk in construction and relate to work place safety

  • Skills USA State Competition- Teamworks (April 2026)

    Placed 4th in California

    After our win in regionals, we got the opportunity to compete at the state level. Simulation a work site, the competition consisted of reading plans, organization, cleanliness, operation of tools, demolition, and professionalism.

  • East County Coalition-Fentanyl Review Curriculum Team( February-April 2026)

    Member

    Reviewed multiple Fentanyl curriculums for Contra Costa County and provided feedback to help instate a curriculum that will be placed at all high schools in the county, following the bill AB-2429.
